Born Molantwa Glen Melamu on 22 February 1991 in Kuruman – Northern Cape, Glen is the third of three boys to Dorothy Mathapelo Melamu and Pule Elias Melamu; and matriculated from Botoka Comprehensive School in 2010. He’s currently a resident of Johannesburg, to allow him to advance in his career as a much sought after DJ.
Glen Kosha’s love for music was evident when he started collecting and listening to compilations of prominent DJs and artists who were releasing at the time. Drawing inspiration from the likes of DJs; China, Willy Sculptured Music, Vinny Da Vinci, Silly Bean, Glen Lewis and Terance from his Music Box Sessions release. In addition to this, he has drawn inspiration from international House music sensations DJs Ralf Gum, Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iverson and the likes. His DJing career has been honed from a very young age and has performed at many avenues of the Deep House music scene breaking boundaries and staying abreast with the times and proving to be a talent that one should look out for.
His resume precedes the many talents this young gentleman is known for and would take endless hours to fulfill. At the same time, Glen Kosha fully endorsed his innate talent when he started hosting his own podcast shows on Podomatic; through his #MusicSuiteSoul offerings and has only grown from strength to strength ever since, with his popularity spanning across places like Klerksdorp, Fochville (Kokosi), the East, West and South of Johannesburg along with invading the City of Tshwane as a whole.

He has over the years had the pleasure to share the stage with international House music sensations Black Coffee (SA), Lars Behrenroth (Germany), Monique Bingham (USA), Jillian Gomes (SA) and Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iverson (UK). In addition to having shared the stage with equally deserving artists of note like Lady Zamar and Junior Taurus, Black Motion, Emtee, Mobi Dixon and many more.
Over the past several years he was an integral part of SDUDLAFabularZ Events and Management and has been a pivotal member of this collective of creatives behind the events management scene in Potchefstroom and surrounding areas; SDUDLAFabularZ was also then his management team. Not only was he a musical talent but an asset to the company and an individual whose levels of professionalism has grown and has learnt to work as a firm team player and leader at many avenues. He later went on to be a prominent fixture as resident DJ at popular establishment Katlego Lounge in Potchefstroom; this experience allowed him to coanchor another establishment within the Potchefstroom area, Black Lounge, where he went on to host an extensive list of shows that grew the patrons of the establishment, these shows include: – House Warming Nights (every last Saturday of the month)
– All Good Sundays (every Sunday in collaboration with another local events company)
He later went on to play at one of the biggest events in his hometown of Kuruman called “Night of Soul 2.0 (NOS), hosted by Tshepang Peme, as a headline act alongside popular DJs Soulbee, Trev The Japanese and Jullian Gomes. In addition to this, Glen went on to play at popular House music establishment, House 22 in Pretoria on Fridays in their Our House Fridays instalment.
His popularity in Pretoria saw him play at a number of establishments and also saw him playing exclusive sets at Eastwoods Tavern and in Arcadia at the Deep and Soul Sensation hosted by pioneer of Deep House Music Christos Katsaitis and Lady Sakhe; the demand for the Soul Activist saw him perform at Luxx Resto Bar Midrand Fridays hosted by seasoned events stable Neckbreaking Events and DJ Choice. In the year 2019 he has had the pleasure of playing as far as Rustenburg, Daveyton, Beach Blanket Bohemia with John De Baptist and second home to where he solidified his following, Klerksdorp.
One of Glen’s biggest dreams is to become a compiler, taking talent to unprecedented levels;
by finding new, fresh music and dreams of becoming one of South Africa’s most sought after
music DJs and compilers in the near future.
